Wartsila in China

Wartsila China Group of Companies is headquartered in Shanghai for building up the marine and energy businesses in the region. The Group is constituted of three individual legal entities, namely, the Wartsila Services (Shanghai) Co Ltd., Wartsila Ship Design and Wartsila Management Co Ltd. Major businesses cover design, sales, sourcing; projects management; services ; information management; human resources; and finance support. Wartsila is operating via the presence of whole-owned subsidiaries; and joint venture partners, and that the operation in China is more than 30 years, capturing networks or representative offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Dalian, Qingdao; Jiangsu and Zhejiang. The total headcount is over 500. To cope with the China’s strategy of moving ahead to be the leading global ship-building nation, the Group is putting heavy resources on R&D for intelligence technology and environmental protecting projects and to be ready for supply of efficient and sustainable equipment.
